A Living Bridge!!!
The visits and blessings of great fathers of the faith—such as Rev. Dr. Birhanu Ofgaa—hold a place of immense significance in the history and spiritual practice of Ethiopian Evangelical Christians; they serve as a vital bridge connecting divine blessing with the succeeding generation.
When these fathers visit and offer blessings, enduring spiritual and historical values are revealed—values that constitute the living backbone of the church. Through these values, a link between history and vision is forged: the fathers’ visits ensure that the new generation does not forget the cost, history, and foundational roots upon which the church was established, allowing past history to serve as a guiding light for present ministry.
Furthermore, a “Culture of Honor” is cultivated; in accordance with the biblical injunction to “give honor to whom honor is due,” inviting and honoring great fathers fosters a spiritual atmosphere of mutual respect and recognition within the church—a culture that bridges the generational gap. Spiritual Revival: The depth of prayer, the Word, and spiritual practice that the fathers bring with them during their visits ignites a new awakening in the hearts of the congregation. Having endured long seasons of trials, every word of counsel they offer carries a spiritual power capable of breaking through the atmosphere of despair.
Thank you, our father, Rev. Dr. Berhanu Ofgaa.
