EECMY congregations with best performance and results on the celebrated Mission Day in 2014 (January 2022) have been recognized. Each year, the celebration of Mission Day is becoming more and more popular, and the number of participants is increasing. In the current year, the following were awarded on synod and congregation level: the South-Central Synod, South Ethiopia Synod, Gimbi Jorgo Synod. Kotobe, Nekemte, and Ado Lekicha congregations were confirmed achieving first to third prize. The West Gibe Synod was also bestowed a special award for its quick response in engaging all congregations to participate.
