In the first half of this year missionaries were sent to countries in West Africa, to a refugee camp for South Sudanese refugees, and to an East African country. Likewise, EECMY-IMS is preparing to send three missionary couples to North Kenya.
Meanwhile, in June a 3-week training was given to 9 missionary candidates by trainers and teachers from home and abroad in Hawassa city. The missionary candidates were sent from Shakiso, Nekemte, Hawassa, and Addis Ababa. The feedback from the missionary candidates was that the training equipped and prepared them for the call of God and the church to work in global mission.
