“The power of the resurrection…will roll them”

My friend, yehun/Amen  Berhane Meskel, and I sat down to eat one of the meal recently, and we were not satisfied with the dialogue  and the meal. We raised many our community problems, among them “easy wrong; hard right” was one issue. Because  now a day’s people choose easy wrongs relatively from hard right.

After discussing the points, I went to the office of the Mission Society/IMS, and turned my attention back to the church.

Is the church of today free from this attitude? Has the easy wrong been more acceptable than the hard right? I asked myself. Especially regarding missionary work… because missionary work is the main agenda of the church, the heartbeat of God!!! “Simple mistakes” are many in the missionary perspective of the church, but I will leave the rest for you, my readers, to discuss with your families and friends, so as not to take up too much time and space, and I will summarize a few:

  1. The invitation “Come and see” is easier than the divine command “Go”.
  2. The concept of “Receive” is easier than the concept of “Send”.
  3. The old practice of loving only her own way and reject the new Method like tent maker missionaries.
  4. I do not think of the world until I have reached my neighbor.
  5. Her focus is on her own wall and her own internal affairs.
  6. Slowing down missionary work by spending the offerings and tithes of love on various charitable and development works… Now, these and similar situations are sealed like tombstones with great seals.

Who will roll away this stone? I welcome you to the 2017 Easter holiday. The spirit that raised Jesus Christ from the dead that rolls away these simple mistakes is the “power of the resurrection”. When the church is filled with this power, it becomes easier to do the hard things right. It sends instead of receiving It fulfills the saying “Go” instead of saying “come” with many sacrifices.

May this Easter holiday be a time for you to connect with the power of the resurrection!!! Be blessed by doing the hard things right instead of making simple mistakes!!!
